“Senioritis”, the “senior slump”, and “coasting” are all common terms for taking it easy during your senior year. It may seem like a nice break, but senioritis often does more harm than good. Colleges and scholarship agencies watch for a strong GPA, rigorous classes, and attendance through the end of the senior year. In fact the entire senior year is of most interest to colleges. Make the most of your senior year – strengthen your skills and broaden your experiences, in school and out, to prepare for all of the new directions ahead. *The DHS attendance policy states that students with over 10 absences per class period/semester will result in 3% percentage deduction for EVERY absence over 10 (excused and unexcused) from their final grade. Don’t let absences effect your GPA or graduation!
